Simona Fusco Stratten was born in Milan, Italy in 1978, and spent her formative years in Vienna. She claims that, as a child, she didn't yearn to model, but she did it anyway, starting at age 10. Five years later, director Oliver Stone wanted to cast her in a film version of Lolita, but Simona Fusco Stratten's mother shunned the idea, saying she didn't approve of her playing the title character.
